What
does BRIDGE PTS do?
BRIDGE PTS specializes in testing drugs and medical
devices for their antimicrobial, anti-biofilm
and wound healing properties. In order to accomplish
this for our customers, we use a combination
of in vitro and in vivo models
that closely replicate human diseases.
Although
we specialize in infection, we can, of course,
perform other types of contract research!

What
information will I get in a study quotation?
Our
study quotations are designed to be a template
for the detailed protocol that will follow. As
such, the quotations include information on the
goals and objectives of the study, the specific
measurement/outcome parameters, the anticipated
timing of the study and the study cost.

How
do I get a quotation for a study?
In
order to receive a detailed quotation with cost
information, study timing and deliverables, you
can contact one of
our knowledgeable sales people.

What
is a typical turn-around time for studies?
Speed
is essential both for our customers and for BRIDGE PTS. In our experience, our turn-around times
are less than half of those delivered by other
contract testing laboratories. Top-line results
for in vitro testing are often delivered
in four weeks or less while in vivo testing
typically has a 10-12 week turn-around. This
time-frame includes IACUC protocol approval,
animal quarantine periods, health inspections,
etc.
“Rapid
Results” is part our tag-line for a reason!

Does
BRIDGE PTS offer consulting services?
Yes.
Although we do not actively promote this service,
we are happy to perform scientific consulting
for our customers when they would like guidance
above and beyond study design. Billing for consulting
services is done using an hourly or daily rate.

Do
you perform safety testing?
We
have performed safety testing for customers in
the past, but this data is typically used for
internal decision-making, not as part of submissions
to the FDA for drug or device approvals. For
more information on this topic, click
to learn about our GLP status.

Can
BRIDGE PTS work with large animals?

facility is capable of handling sheep, but larger
animals such as horses or cows are beyond our

How
does BRIDGE PTS protect my company’s confidential
information?
In
order to keep each customer’s confidential information
(including experimental drugs, devices, etc)
protected, BRIDGE PTS uses a simple system of
anonymous protocol numbering to separate each
customers’ projects. Each study is assigned a
unique number, and all materials and information
associated with that study is labeled with that
study number and kept in a separate designated
space.

Can
I visit your facilities?
Of
course! However, because BRIDGE PTS is located
on an active military installation, customer
visits must be pre-arranged. If visitors are
Foreign Nationals, they must undergo a background
check performed by the Air Force. We have never
had a visitor refused access, but the approval
process on Foreign Nationals can take up to one
month.

Can
a representative from our company be present
during our study?
Yes.
We strongly encourage all of our customers to
send representatives to be present during their
studies. We find that having the customers present
during procedures greatly enhances the value
of the study outcomes for all parties.
